The Rain Doesn't Help.

For the last week and a half I have been seeing movies almost non-stop.
It might have something to do with my free movie passes nearing expiration.
It might have something to do with how it's rainy and cold outside All The Time.
It might have something to do with the 6000 ft screen ensnaring all my senses.
I have seen from really terrible (#4) to really amazing(#5).
And I think I'm off to see another really terrible one today.

The Seed Dance

Yesterday in suburbia
I lay on new, green grass
and stared up at blue summer sky
watching them

drifting
hurrying
dancing
swirling
following the wind
to where life will begin

each year they blow
delicately floating across the blue
with a docile breeze
or on a constant laughing breath

and suddenly each one is alive
conveying their life blood to new beginnings
racing
waltzing
gracefully slipping along
moving gently with the crowd
each with their own haven in mind

and me
below
watching the continual dance
like a deer watching a hunter
trying to stay hidden

watching
lying still, trying not to move
not to break the spell
knowing it will happen every year
and never be quite this way again
