Bring it ON!
All the warnings and reminders and mental notes I've been making...I'm SO ready.
Yesterday, realizing it was my last chance, I got:
-the last of my leaves raked up
-my winter coats and boots out of the basement
-my snow brush from the porch into the car
-the garage all cleared out and ready to park in
I'm so ready for the snow and it was just in time. It seems incredible to me that just a few short hours we can go from a windy, cold, brow, ugly city to a bright, white beautiful one where the 'warmness' of snowfall makes you want to go for a late night winter walk.
I even put up the second string of christmas lights I had waiting (pre-snowfall), which, let me tell you was not as fun as I imagined it would be! It was SO cold I had to come in twice for warm up/tea breaks! There was also a kinda tippy ladder and a slight fear of falling and no one finding me until I had frozen to death. But, ahhhh, our house looks completed now. I'm glad I don't have any competition on our street, so that our house just looks simple and cheerful. If I did have competition, though, I'd so be doing this!
But I think I'll give it a few days before my indoor christmas decorations go up. I don't want to get sick of Christmas too fast and this year I think I'd like to focus on advent a bit more. Enjoy that sense of anticipation a bit.
Then I'll get some eggnog and put on the carols!

Way to go Pam!! We missed the whole raking up the last of the leaves and geting the lights up. woops! Waking up to -25 this morning tells us our house will be lacking in the festive depatment for a bit. I have faith, the weather will come around. And I totally agree with this statement ~~ " the 'warmness' of snowfall makes you want to go for a late night winter walk."~~ Welcome Mr. Winter.
That photo is great. Ha ha.
Sigh... listened to Christmas carols on the walk home from work. I have a feeling I won't be able to stave of the decorating like you can. I get so excited to have Christmas decorations up!
